Readers should be able to trust what they read here. This page explains the standards we hold ourselves to. The editor responsible for what is published on TechReview.si is Shivam Sharma.
Independence
- Advertisers, brands and affiliate partners cannot buy or influence a review, a score, a ranking or a recommendation.
- Our editorial decisions are made separately from our advertising and affiliate arrangements.
- If a product was supplied free for review, we say so in the article. Receiving a product never guarantees coverage or a positive verdict.
- Sponsored content, if we ever publish it, is clearly labelled as sponsored and kept separate from our reviews.
How we research and test
- Reviews are based on hands-on use. We describe how long and how we used the product, what we liked, what we did not, and who it suits. If we have not tested something ourselves, we do not present it as a review.
- Best-of and comparison articles explain the criteria we used and why each pick was chosen. We state clearly where we tested a product and where we relied on manufacturer specifications or other published sources.
- How-to guides are checked against the current version of the software or device wherever possible, and we note the version used.
- News is based on primary sources such as company announcements, official documents and direct statements. We link to our sources so you can check them.
Facts, sources and fairness
We check facts, names, figures and quotes before publishing. We distinguish clearly between reporting, analysis and opinion. We seek to represent companies and people fairly and will give a right of reply where we make serious claims about them.
Use of AI-assisted tools
We may use software tools, including AI-assisted tools, for tasks such as research support, transcription, translation and copy-editing. A human editor is responsible for every article. Content is reviewed and fact-checked by a person before it is published, and we do not publish product opinions or test results that no person has actually obtained.
Updates and corrections
When we find an error that matters, we fix it and add a note at the bottom of the article saying what changed and when. When we update an article because information has changed, we show the updated date. To report an error, use our Contact page.
Conflicts of interest
Authors must tell the editor about any financial or personal interest in a company they cover. Where such an interest could reasonably affect trust, we disclose it in the article or the author does not cover that company.
Comments and community
Comments are moderated. We remove spam, abuse, illegal content and personal information. A comment appearing on the site is not an endorsement by us.
